I have a horrible habit. If I am stressed about my relationship, I have to vent to someone about it. And from experience, it' can backfire 57% of the time. I normally try and call my mom about it, but she isn't always available since she works and still raises two other kids.

When my boyfriend was passed out drunk. I felt angry and shaky. My ex was messaging me on snap chat "just texts" and he was also going through a break up. I was bored, wired, and needed to talk to someone. My mom was probably sleeping, so I called him. It was nice to hear him, and he told me what went wrong. I asked for his input. Honestly the conversation was rated PG-13. I say that because we cuss quite a bit. But there was no phone sex. No "I miss you baby". Nothing.

But I do feel a little guilty, mainly because I did talk to him while my boyfriend was passed out. I want to tell him, but I don't want him to think that I was up to no good. Or that I did it because I wanted to get back at him for getting drunk so early. I did let my ex know that he can come over to our apartment if we are ever bored and want to hang out. Like me and my boyfriend. What do you all think?

yesterday night me and my boyfriend were talking over the phone and we were discussing about his job interview next week. He wants a second job because his current job doesn't pay well and he wants to make enough money so he can move out to his own place. I understand that and if he gets the job, I will be happy for him. But then he mentioned that he doesn't mind taking 4 to 5 shifts a night. And then I got this idea in my head that "he won't have enough time for me" since he's working in the daytime and then would work at night. We see each other every 2 days and we talk everyday so I think Im scared that we won't be as close any more and so I took it out on him. And then he got extremely furious at the end. This was our conversation:
HIM: why are u thinking like this? I will make time for u. if a guy really likes someone he will make time so i will make time. i know myself
ME: i dont think u will. i just have a feeling. my friend and her boyfriend are on and off because of this
HIM: dont compare our relationship. we are all different. you are thinking about urself. u just want all the attention and its not fair. i need to think of my career first.
ME: ok... i think we need space for a week. we been talking everyday
HIM: *getting furious* WHAT THE F? why a week? are u interested in someone else? i thought we are seeing each other on Monday. i have a feeling u dnt want to be with me. if u dont just tell me and im out of your life. dont play games with me. im pissed. i will call later. bye.
Then he hanged up and then called me again
HIM: what do u want from me? do u want to break up?
ME: i dont know what i want.
HIM: *still furious but i can tell he was going to cry* why do u do this to me all the time? i dont know what u want. if u dont see me on Monday i will take it that ur not interested anymore and thats it. i will leave.
ME: yea i dont know..
HIM: look just see me on Monday. i will call u Sunday night. i will give u space tomoro. goodnight.
ME: ok ill see u on Monday. goodnite

I used to work at a children's center that dealt with hundreds of kids a day. The first year I worked there I was sick every single month. It was hell. My mom called me once and actually told me I should quit on account of my health. As soon as I got well, a week later I'd be sick with something else. In that one year, I got bronchitis 4x, laryngitis 2x, I caught strep from a co-worker which was the sickest I'd ever been in my life, until I caught the big one, pneumonia, which put me in the hospital and quite literally nearly killed me and took me a full month to fully recover from.

Now I treat people who are sick like they have the plague. I will spray doors and counter tops down with Lysol or bleach if they are near. I will avoid them if I can. If it's my boyfriend, he knows, I'll bring him the chicken soup, I'll rub his back, I'll rub the vix, but I'm doing it with a mask on and we're sleeping in separate spaces until he gets better.

I just no longer see the point of trying to act like someone coughing and hacking all over the place is a-okay, or that I don't mind getting sick on someone else's behalf. No one likes being sick, and so to me, the action I'm taking is infection control to prevent me and others from catching something contagious. As a result in the past 5 years or so, I've only actually ever been sick once, and it was something I caught from an airplane seat (so now I wipe those down too before I sit/fly).

Is this too much?
