It's no denying that the millennial generation tend to have an attitude of not wanting to work hard and everything must be immediate and easy to obtain. And this type of attitude tends to translate over into dating where people want that spark/click/chemistry immediately and attraction for the person right off the bat and become totally lovey dovey feeling for that person within a couple weeks to 1 month of knowing them.
And it's not surprising that people tend to jump into bed with this kind of mindset by the 3-4th date.
However, i cam across some comments by male gagers about building a relationship on this i'd like to share:

"relationship built on attraction. its shallow. love comes latter after you get to know a person. however infatuation can leave you blind to lots of things. id rather be with a women that i respect and fall in love later than to be with a women who gives me butterflies just to find out she's a shit person."

And this was true in old times. Many couples that lasted much longer than today both parties won't head over heels with each other on first meeting but learned to love and respect each other.

" Waste majority of times a man and a woman will meet and then build up a relationship from nothing. Sometimes you may even have the feeling that you would have to force yourself to like them. But love made from ground up is more stronger than something that came from a "spark."
By definition, a spark is something that goes out very quickly anyway."

"Well that spark sometimes happens later, some times its not a spark so much as a click (ie your indifferent and then suddenly your not)"

It does seem however, women are more culpable to end a relationship with a guy who is good on paper and has everything she is looking for her in a partner because he did not give her butterflies right off the bat.


Do you think this whole spark thing ruins the chance of having stable relationship?

So I'm gonna list a few types of men and explain how they are stereotypically. Tell me which you'd like to date more. I'm doing a little research for a sociology paper I'm writing so your help is appreciated ^_^

1: City Men:

These men were born in and live in the city. They usually are easier going and less driven but more protective and more prone to violence. They usually aren't too keen on domestic life. They are loving and caring in their own way but some how manage to seem dominant and submissive at the same time. They are typically witty and sarcastic. The typical city man.

2: Country Men:

These men are born and raised farmers and ranchers. Extremely protective and caring. Not very easy going and not very prone to violence. Usually attractive and a "manly man" who likes to work with his hands. They usually love the thought of domestic life and having children. Up at the crack of dawn and have a particular interest in the romantic world.

3: The Hybrid Man (What I am):

A country boy raised in the country who lives in the city or vice versa. The best of both really. Like working with their hands but are easy going and enjoy being lazy and lying in bed to relax. An appreciation for technology but no dependency. Very protective and extremely caring. Likes an adventure but also likes home life. Wants children and has traditional values. Usually a mix of dominant and submissive.

So what's more attractive? I know people will look at these and go "Well option 3 duh" but you learn when doing such social studies that you can't always believe the obvious. So tell me what you think!

Personally i think that for woman today and people in general sex/relationship are fast paced and people are jumping in bed (sometimes) without protection within days or weeks of meeting. So when a nice guy comes along and decides to take time to get to know a girl for maybe month or 2 before asking her out many women have already solidify him as non-sexual in their mind.

Hence, as men you kind of have to escalate things very sexual at the start or women will drop you into the non-sexual category for the rest of their life.

What do you guys think? Is the phrase nice guy never get the girl because they never ask her out true in most cases?
