Jasper is 17 years old. He has a seven year old brother named Milo who's deaf. Jasper resents Milo and often blames him for the reason why their mother stayed in an abusive relationship with his stepfather because she couldn't afford Milo's medical treatments. Jasper often had to help care for his brother and it took parts of his childhood away.

First, Jasper refused to learn sign language, used physical force and punching to get Milo's attention, then he started beating Milo up, making him cry so hard he'd throw up. Pulled his hair, throw him into walls, locked him in closets for hours, and whenever Milo had a accident Jasper forced him to sleep in the clothes he peed or shit in.

When Jasper found out Milo struggled to make friends at school, he gave him a note saying oh, that sucks. If you could hear normally, you'd have plenty of friends.
