Usually even an extreme difference in opinion doesn’t strike me as a reason to disregard people, so long as they’re presenting themselves and their opinions honestly. When it comes to this kind of thing I think it helps more than hurts to be connected with an ideologically diverse array of friends, cause it helps to broaden horizons and find out how to better elaborate on/refine your own positions.

There are some exceptions of course, but the exceptions are almost always minuscule and fringe relative to the general population, spelling out violent or very specifically draconian intent I can’t abide by. I’ve let it happen before in the past; half the time I’ve regretted it but the other half I was contented with the distance.

I’ve only been in 2 relationships.

The first girl left me
The 2nd girl we both decided to break up

I don’t regret either one
although my 2nd girlfriend was like my best friend
& we decided to date
i didn’t really even want her, specifically.

i was willing to date anything at that point & there she was
it ended though because she didn’t wanna give something I wanted
So it ended

Each relationship lasted 4 months though that’s crazy
