So I’m almost 25 and no dating experience. I would say I’m in decent shape and not unattractive. I’ve been complimented throughout my existence lol. But for the love of life, I can’t find a partner.

While I do sound desperate, I do not settle or go after the first guy. I think I deserve someone who checks my boxes and no one has. I never get approached and only ever had unattractive guys talk to me. I was bullied in school and chunky, which is why I think I was avoided by guys growing up.

I use dating apps, have talked to guys and not much luck at all. Is there something wrong with me? Are men just not into me? Or is this how dating works for most people?

So you know of women and men that met their partners as young as 13 and get married or people that are high school sweethearts. I wonder how people make friends to begin with, better yet romantic partners. I’m 25 and I’m not ugly. I try to eat decent, work out occasionally and stay groomed. I don’t ever get asked out or pursued by guys. By the rare occasions I have, I was asked out or complimented by unattractive guys. In HS and middle school I was teased and bullied. I had a little bit of friends and acquaintances mostly in HS. I don’t know why dating has never presented itself to me like everyone else. Who is the issue here, the men or me?

I don’t think I’m ugly. But I don’t have the highest opinion of myself either. Yet guys always seemed to latch onto the female friends I used to have. While I’m always single. And these are friends that were cute and some even average. People tell me I’m pretty but I’m invisible to guys. I have to get attention from dating apps because men don’t notice me in person. Isn’t that a sign that I’m most likely unattractive?
