So my friend has a 13 year old cousin that her mom flew her out so she could babysit her. She supposedly flew out from LAX to PA last Sunday and her mom booked her all these different connections. Her flights were cancelled in Denver and she was stuck in Denver on Monday and Tuesday and flew out to Florida on Wednesday and then went to Atlanta, DC, Memphis, Chicago and then finally here. They have a direct flight from LAX to here. Her mom also didn’t pay extra for escorts but people under 15 have them regardless and she’s supposedly wandering through airports by herself. Her mom also gave her $50 and she hadn’t ate since Tuesday night. Her mom was also out of the country on vacation. Anytime my parents mentioned calling the police and reporting it she’s like that won’t do anything since she’s out of state and supposedly she called the airports and airlines and they wouldn’t help her. My mom called the local airport on Thursday and she had 4 potential flights the kid could be on and on different airlines said the airline said that they need to know which airline so they can contact them and my friend couldn’t get a hold of her parents or her aunt. The kid was supposed to come in last night and I drove my friend to baggage claim and we looked for her and didn’t see the cousin and flights were cancelled and I suggested going to security and my friend said no no I’ll call my mom and see and then she said flight was cancelled she’s being put on a new one tomorrow. Her parents came back today and the kid landed on the other side of the state and the parents had to drive to pick her up. Her parents don’t like people over at the house and I asked if we 3 could take a walk tonight and she said the cousin is dead tired and wants to sleep. And the cousin is from Ridgecrest, CA, which she actually did say way before any of the earthquakes happened. The cousin is real because my friend has pictures and videos with her.
