Hi, I’m in love with a guy for almost 2 years but never told him. He first wanted to date me but I rejected him. Then we had a friends with benefits thing and we ended up in fights. We argued a lot for a year and then we made up. It’s been a year he was single and we were more and more intimate.
I was closed to admit to him my feelings but he told me a week ago he wanted to try to date his female best friend. I was devastated and I still am. I’m truly in love with him and care for him.

I understood he probably always thought I only wanted a sexual relation with him, but it sounds like I have a special place in his life but i don’t know which it is : he’s intimate with me, he’s very attracted to me and he trusts me.

His relationship starts bad :
- he couldn’t follow me on instagram or like other girl pictures, because « she’s super jealous » (what he said) and he’s afraid of her making drama and send him screenshots of every tiny thing he does on social medias, because she knows all his past with his exes and flirts so she’s suspicious
- he asked me to not save every text we send to each other because he’s afraid of her spying on his phone
- he explained he has ever talked about me before so maybe i might represent a threat for her

Knowing him so well, and that he never had a serious and mature long-term relationship, liking freedom and doesn’t like being bothered and let a girl get to him.. how he can accept such a thing?

My questions are : do you think their relationship might work? Do you think he never saw I was in love with him? Should I tell him about my feelings (knowing that I’m going to be rejected because he has this new girlfriend) or should I wait more longer that their relation end?

I went on a date (I'm very new to this) and I'm generally pretty quiet with new people. At the end he told me it had been special but he enjoyed it and he asked when I would be free for a 2nd date. I wouldn't blame him if he didn't mean it, since I was awkward...

At the end of a first date, would you tell the person you would like to go on a second date, even if you didn't feel anything / didn't want to?

I'm 20 and my boyfriend is 21. We have dated for 7 months now but before we dated we knew each other for a year. When I'm with him, everything is so simple. Talking about anything and everything is always so fun, even when it is just about our day. We know each other very well now, we are completely unmasked, and I always feel at home with him. He's the first person that I've ever felt this clingy towards. He is one of few I have fun with hanging out one-on-one.
But it's finals week. I'm used to seeing him for a couple hours every day, but sometimes he has to study for an exam for a day or two. Whenever this happens, I get really lonely. My roommate also moved out so I'm in a room by myself. I have a friend group, but we don't hang out individually because we click better as a group, and some members are living off-campus so we can't get together every night like we used to. It takes a very special person for me to like hanging out with them one-on-one since I do much better in groups, and because of that, when he leaves I don't have much to do.
The hobbies I tried to develop fell through (making bracelets--I broke the needle. Got frustrated as hell) and clubs on campus seem more interested in spicing up resumes rather than actually doing stuff. I'm a little different, so are my friends, so it's hard to find someone for me to really enjoy being around.
So I'll sit in my dorm, watch YouTube and I'll feel guilty for wasting the day away. I get great grades and everything, I work out and try to eat healthily, but I guess I want to know-what are fun, cheap, productive things to do by yourself? I hate to burden him. Is it unhealthy how much I cling onto him? Is it weird I have issues with one-on-one relationships?
