Is it sometimes needed for election boards, where such a clear contrast exists between two candidates (a Churchill versus a Hitler, for example), when one was coerced on its voters by that party, is so heinous and destructive that is necessary modify election outcomes to outcomes to ensure that the needed candidate wins the election, using ineligible votes, if needed?

Read an interesting book about necrophobia versus necrophilia. It argued civilization was founded on humans being afraid of dead bodies. Thus we took more care of the elderly rather than leave them to die, which demands a civilized “government” to manage.

And a fear of bodies is so pronounced that killers who are necrophiliacs often lie about it, despite admitting to torture and murder, or even cannibalism. Weird, huh?

I have a close friend and confidante in a recovery program who is an awesome young man. He’s actually my sponsor.

He leans progressive and I’m a moderate conservative. We have some differences on opinions with politics. But both of us know some subjects are just off limits. But we respect each other very much otherwise.

But I notice women more than men seem to make very quick and easy judgments about people when they don’t agree with their politics. The only time they give men a (semi) pass is if they find the man physically attractive. But even then it’s only a semi buffer.

To be fair men can be like this too. I’ve seen time and time again where guys seemingly “agree” with a woman’s political POV only if they want to sleep with her. I find that to be absolutely beyond pathetic simp bs.

There was a time many years ago when politically opinionated women actually liked it when guys disagreed with them (because it showed the guy had a backbone). But those times are long past ever since Trump first got elected in 2016. So I usually change the subject/don’t respond in those scenarios. If she keeps going off on it then I won’t associate with her anymore. But I will never change my core beliefs just to impress a woman.

But I find that men I disagree politically are easier to get along with in the real world (definitely not on GAG) then women are. Just as long as we have common ground on something else.

As men we can do all the right things. But imagine she goes drinking with other men, you want to kick her out but she owns the house too.

She can call the English police and say you’re being emotionally abusive and YOU get arrested.
