Should our leaders stand with military leaders to look more powerful?

Russia had lots of parades with missiles where the spirits of our ancestors bless them to kill more infidels.

China does it. Still.

Even after that one guy….

Then we get all riled up and excited! Good right?

Doesn't it seem wise to do background checks, and IRS audits going back 10 years on federal officals. It can be done randomly from a hat draw if we don't have sufficient resources, until we do.

* It's good for the economy... creates high jobs!

* Holds all officials to a higher standard

That's what's happening to Trump now. Why not use that as a model going forward and make it law?

Or is it more “my race is better”? Or do they select specific races they hate more than others?

I just read about Nazi diplomat Heinrich John Rabe who saved tens of thousands of Chinese in the Nanking massacre…and Japanese diplomat Sugihara Chiune who saved thousands of Jews in Lithuania massacres. (Biggest shrug ever)

Both countries they served (Axis partners in WW2), and probably they themselves, were quite racist and nationalist.

Just a weird story arc opposite the holocausts on both continents.

Say I'm a member of some national association or large group of activists. I'm also in a religion. I also have an ethnicity, nationality, and gender.

Can you see me as an individual when i act in my own purposes and desires, and as a member of a group when I act according to the group's larger purpose or specific rules?

Say if I'm a Christian and was baptized, would you understand I did that as a Christian and wouldn't have done it if I wasn't one?

And if I was a man bought a dog, would you understand I did that as an individual and would have done that regardless of whether I was a man or not?

AP sources: Trump facing at least 1 felony charge in NY case

Former President Donald Trump is facing multiple charges of falsifying business records, including at least one felony offense, in the indictment handed down by a Manhattan grand jury, two people familiar with the matter told The Associated Press on Friday.

He will be formally arrested and arraigned Tuesday in his hush money case, setting the scene for the historic, shocking moment when a former president is forced to stand before a judge to hear the criminal charges against him.

The indictment remained sealed and the specific charges were not immediately known, but details were confirmed by people who spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss information that isn't yet public.

The streets outside the courthouse where the arraignment will unfold were calm Friday compared with earlier in the week. There were no large-scale demonstrations for or against Trump, though tourists stopped to take selfies and throngs of reporters and police officers remained assembled.

When Trump turns himself in, he’ll be booked mostly like anyone else facing charges, mug shot, fingerprinting and all. But he isn’t expected to be put in handcuffs; he’ll have Secret Service protection and will almost certainly be released that same day.

In the meantime, Trump's legal team prepared his defense while the prosecutor's office defended the grand jury investigation that propelled the matter toward trial. Congressional Republicans, as well as Trump himself, contend the whole matter is politically motivated.

Donald Trump is being prosecuted for giving Stormy Daniels $130,000 of his OWN MONEY to be quiet about their affair, which is a misdemeanor in New York State. Meanwhile, why isn't Chirlane McCray being prosecuted (or at least vigorously investigated) for losing or misappropriating or stealing over $850 million in TAXPAYER DOLLARS as New York City's "Mental Health Czar" under the former mayor, Bill DeBlasio? By some accounts, she might've even made as much as $1.2 billion taxpayer dollars magically disappear. So why isn't Alvin Simon Theodore Bragg actively investigating this egregious financial matter?

Also, it's not "whataboutism", because if McCray was indicted and prosecuted for every $130,000 of taxpayer dollars she made vanish, she'd be facing at least a 6,538½ count indictment. That's based on the total amount being $850 million. If the total amount is actually $1.2 billion, she'd be facing a 9,230¾ count indictment. Just based on the mathematics alone, it seems more important to figure out what happened to $850 million (or $1.2 billion) of taxpayer dollars than to figure out what happened to $130,000 of non-public money. Makes "cents", right?
