Well, I'm a freshmen at my school and there is this boy and he claims to me that we are "friends." So one day he could sit wherever he wanted in the classroom but he chose to sit by me. He was talking to me the ENTIRE class time which is over an hour and we were laughing and having a good ole time! So I started to like him but I didn't want to ruin our friendship. Well, the next day the girl named Emily comes back to school (which she hasn't been to school in FOREVER!) He didn't talk to me at all and was flirting with her so bad! So when I get home I get on my myspace and I start talking to him. I asked him if he liked Emily and he tells me no just as a friend. I was like "ok whatever. You sure were flirting with her!" And he starts to get mad at me and he starts to yell and me and all this other stuff telling me he don't like her just as a friend. So I told him ok I'm sorry. I was just saying! So ever since then he don't talk to me in class no more and barely on myspace. So he tells Emily that I keep saying he likes her and she likes him and all this other stuff. So she messages me on myspace telling me she ain't trying to be mean but they are only friends. So I told her that I know because he told me yesterday on myspace. So she told me she believes not him. So I guess he hears about how she believes me because he starts telling his friends that I am obsessed and in love with him! So his friends start telling people and one of them named Jonathan comes to me and tells me about it. So I tell him it ain't true because I don't like him like that. So he tells me ok he believes me. But this dude named Todd is getting on my nerves and he keeps making rumors up about me. But then he claims we were friends. But if he were a true friend he wouldn't do that! So what am I suppose to do?
Update: Well, today was another day in school and we didn't say one thing to each other! Thank god because I'm over him and he ain't worth it. I heard he had been starting rumors about me and when I ask him about it he denies. So forget him!

I have been in that same situation, except opposite sex. This girl in my class could not stop from talking with me and then it slowly drifted. The only thing is, I did not get overly attached to this person. Nor did I interrogate her with questions. If something was meant to be, it would have happened. But nothing did, and it is not the end of the world.
Ok, First off frrm now on and in the future if you do meet a guy and talk for the entire class time, don't think too much about it. Just enjoy the moment. Don't think like OMG! just have fun with him and you don't have to be his girlfriend to do that or friends with benefits!(never be that)
You fell for this guy, but he kinda showed you that your weren't really different from his "his other girls" when he flirted with Emily and I'm sure he does with other girls. I'm just saying once a guy says he doesn't like a girl, he doesn't, but at the same time he could be lying, but don't question him like that unless your together or your about to tell him that you like him!
Ok now what to do...... You need to confront that guy in your class that you talked to for an entire class time and that you kinda fell for him. Tell him that your not obsess with him and not in love with him. Say that I thought you were a cool guy and ya I had a little crush on you(thats optional), but now I don't think your cool anymore. Then tell him why are you saying all this false stuff to your friends and almost anyone you see? I'm not obsessed or in love with you so stop saying or thinking that shit. Slap him if you want( I wouldn't do it if I were you) and just leave and don't talk to him anymore! If you do decide to follow my advise, let me know how it goes. If I was one of your guy friends that guy would be in a dumpster right now...
