What keeps the spiders and bugs away?

I haven't had a spider or roach problem since I first moved in my apartment almost 4 years ago. We do have pest control come into our apartments now periodically but that's just been this year and a little of last year.

Before they were not coming so what keeps them away? Clean house?

you can have the cleanest place ever... and the bugs are still going to invite themselves into your house, spiders will follow...

bugs are not into "dirty" lol

both of them need more than just food, they also look for places to nest, to stay, they like humidity, light, plants... crevices, darkness and such

so... I guess that, if there's a pest or infestation, then poison is the answer but if they're just a little few bugs and spiders here and there... it will be a whole lot more work

Definitely a clean house will help a lot. Spiders will be difficult to keep out because they like warm and dry places but they aren't so bad. They catch bugs for you. The roadents definitely love dirty places and remains of food behind refrigerators and cabinets

Probably something has changed in our atmosphere keeping their population down.

I'm wondering why I'm not getting them this year either. It's weird huh? 🤷🏼‍♀️

Have a well-maintained clean house, and you will rarely see bugs or spiders.

Diatomaceous earth. It's kind of like sand, but it's fossilized aquatic algae and it's sharp. Insects that crawl over it will have the sharp edges slit their endoskelet and they will leak and dehydrate to death. DE isn't poison or harmful to humans. You can sprinkle it around the perimeter of your house and entrances and anywhere you see bugs, and soon you won't have bugs anymore.

Extremely clean house , lack of food source , there may have been a termite spray in the block? This stuff kills everything ( not all together healthy) ..
Here , I have a monthly spray included and right behind is a big hotel/ condo place..

And we have Geekos ( little quick lizards ) you rarely see them , they love bugs , I've hardly ever seen a spider here , yet so many in Australia.

Usually, if they have been doing any crime at all and they're in jail or prison (if they haven't), they've been driving. They're really not allowed to drive without a driver's license, so that too winds up with them not being able to really get to your house.

Spiders are the best defense against bugs. They are also cannibals. So spiders even check their own populations. You can literally never have too many spiders. There will only ever be the right number to control the population of pests.

Go by yourself a container of Home Defense and spray all around your windows and doorways , the stuff works awesome , I spray my home every 6 months or so and I barely get any bugs in my home whatsoever
