I had a huge moth living in my bathroom for a couple of days.

Today I sprayed it with Lysol.

What do you do when you find a bug living in your quarters?

Kill it

Spiders and other such beneficial creatures I leave alone, unless they're in a place where injury or death is likely; then I relocate them. They help me, eating the nasty things, and so protect me and my stuff from them; that they're weird- and creepy-looking doesn't bother me (and mark me, if someone out there ever teaches a spider to talk, the first thing it'll say is "FEAR NOT").

The nasty things, however, I kill without hesitation or regret. Spiders can't be everywhere.

First, I carefully secure their tiny legs with thin pieces of rope, making sure they can still move just enough to feel the sting of being confined. Then, I place them on a small platform and deny them access to any potential mates or sources of pleasure - no orgasms for these naughty insects! This way, they learn to respect boundaries and appreciate the finer things in life (like obeying their Master). And when they've had enough, I release them back into the wild, forever changed by our session together. It's truly a transformative experience for both parties involved.

Flyers and beetles go outside unless they're too many to catch, then I exterminate.
House-spiders usually aren't equipped for life outdoors very well.
If they keep to themselves, catch mosquitoes and flyers then I'll let them have their corner (might even feed them during cold winters), until the become pregnant that is, then I exterminate.

As a Carolina boy, I believe in mutually beneficial exchanges between different species. I know the stereotype is that we below the Mason-Dixon line mistreat so-called inferior beings, but nothing could be further than the truth.

I give that spider a warm place to live, some food and water, a nice little bed to sleep in, and in return she keeps my bathroom free from houseflies. It's what we call Southern hospitality.

Certain ones in certain conditions. If it's a harmless bug, I leave it alone. If it's indoors and harmless, I'll try to catch it and let it go outside. If it's destructive or hurting someone/thing, I'll kill it. If it's a pest and inside, I'll kill it.

Poisonous deadly ones get the death. Most get reoriented with their true home outside mine. A select few get a pass to share quarters with me. They all get a conversation though lol.


Some I am deadly allergic to, get no sympathy in the wrong location. Sorry but survival of the fittest yo.

Moths are one of the few insects I don't kill. I just take them outside, because if left inside, they will eat your fabrics. I kill everything else, especially mosquitoes and flies.

it depends on the insect, if it makes too much noise, I kill it, if it intimidates me, I leave it in the room and go elsewhere, if it doesn't bother me, I leave it there and maybe talk to it a bit, Just casual talk lol

I keep spiders cuz they eat the other bugs, and each other. If i found a moth, i would certainly set it free.

It depends. Non-poisonous spiders I leave alone. Roaches and flies I eliminate. Bees I guide outside. Wasps, aka "A-holes with wings" I set traps for because smashing them just attracts more.

It depends on what it is. I tend to catch and release "good" bugs- centipedes, spiders, moths, etc., but pests like silverfish or roaches, I i kill.
