Ladies:Do you squish bugs?

I kill bugs that aren't overly threatening. If it were a small cockroach or silverfish, I was kill it as I am assured it would not fly at me or attack me when I do. If it were a huge beetle or cockroach or a wasp, I would kind of panic and shut the door of the room it is in and get someone else to kill it.

But that's only if there's no way of getting it to go outside. I have flyscreens, so that makes it quite difficult. :/

television, has a lot of women freaking out over bugs. how many _more_ women than men, in real life, have you seen freaking out over bugs?

Personally, -ive done this since I was 6- I position a piece of paper or cardboard near them so that they crawl onto it of their own free will- then I let them feee outside. id never kill it for no reason& why would I squish it? thatd be really messy & unnecessary..

ive never found a rat in my house. we used to have tons of voles in between the walls-in the country.. log ago. so cute. . I wanted to keep some as a pet. my dad wouldn't let me, as we couldn't know if they had viruses-hes a major hypochondriac. everything is lethal on some level to him.

my grandfather used to put traps out for mice I broke the trap let them outside. one hurt his leg so I gave him a bunch of cheese-i thought at least he could go out happy.. he ran away after all, I was glad:)

outside-never. inside my house-some of them,it's MY territory!(tho I realize they don't know that:P) I pretty much only kill silverfish,the other ones don't bother me,i usually take them outside,i don't have a problem with spiders or crickets,but silverfish...just...NO,i'm against reasonless murder-but-goddammit I will always be a hypocrite when there are silverfish involved

It depends on the bug. If its a moth, bee, wasp, etc. I try to put them back outside. But if its something like a spider or scorpion I squish them. Because those always come back in the house! I don't have a problem with being scared of bugs, I just think, who is bigger? Me. :p

I'm not a fan of bugs, but I don't like to squish them. I usually pick them up and relocate them in a nice bush :) especially because my boyfriend is more afraid of spiders than I am lol

I actually pick them up and put them outside...but I generally don't like to kill things. Spiders I leave alone because they control the rest of the insects that may enter the house.

Well...lol...I don't really consider them my pets. I usually just shoo them into a corner out of the way and let them do their thing there.

Ha ha...IDK...i just kind of step towards them until they go to the corner or under something. I do talk to them too.. :P perhaps they really do understand :)

Yes but if they are bigger bugs or hard to catch bugs I get they fly spray.

If it looks like it's going to crunch when I step on it I try and find someone else to do it but if there no one else around I'll do it...even though it usually takes a few tries, lol

I'll kill bug if I need to but I get overly fearful of them. My whole chest constricts.

I know it's not rational so I face my fear.

I squish cockroaches, cos they're disgusting. But most other bugs (crickets, spiders, etc) I try and take outside. I avoid murdering 'em, ya know?
