Do you dislike the commercials on YouTube as much as I do?

Most of them are about the health problems that we have or can get.

Who wants to hear what to do about stuck poop? Or what to do if you have vaginal order?
Then the one I hate the most is big close up of new dentures right in your face! I cover the screen on my cellphone with my hand so I don't have to look at it.

Can you think of any other YouTube gross 🤢 commercials that you don't like?

If you yell and scream obscenities at them then, yes, I do!!
I HATE the stuffed poop commercials!! I think I'd hate them much less if they'd say "stuffed shit"! Poop is something little toddlers say!!
And, who is that ancient AI Dr. that's on EVERY commercial about ANYTHING to do with medical issues?
I also can't stand the ones that tell you about a wonderful new product that'll EASILY get rid of whatever woes you have to deal with: cleaning your toilet, removing stove grease, polishing your dog, combing out your fur-lined sink or revving up your gasoline-powered turtleneck sweater and then you have to click on a link to see a "SHORT" presentation about the product and then they go ON AND ON FOR HOURS about who invented it, their life story, what gave them the idea, what they used to create it, the special properties of every ingredient in it and how incredibly wonderful it is, who used it, the fantastic results they got from it and THEN, they want to sell it to you for a mere exorbitant fee!!! "Just send us your first born male child in 5 easy payments and we'll send it right to your door absolutely free!!"
And there's NO WAY you can skip ahead past all the bullshit to get to the selling point!!
I also hate that you get one EVERY 5:00, OR LESS!!! They never used to be that frequent!! Used to be, you MIGHT get one every 20:00 or so!!
What really chaps my ass is, I'll be sitting here on the bed watching a video on the computer for a good 10:00 or so with no commercials and I get tired of sitting so, I decide to lay back for a few. Don't ya know that, AS SOON AS I LAY BACK, I GET A COMMERCIAL and I have to sit back up again to move the mouse around to get rid of it!!!
A few months ago, I figured out that, if you click on the video thumbnail again when a commercial comes up, it shuts off the commercial and goes right back to the video almost where you left off. You'll have to either skip ahead 15 seconds or just sit through that much, again. But, sometimes, it'll take you right back to the beginning of the video and you have to find where you left off. A lot of times it'll take you to another commercial. Just click on the thumbnail again and until your video comes back. But, recently, they seem to have figured out that you can do this and, sometimes, won't LET YOU do it!! I guess the only other option is to kill the sound until the commercial is done or wait `til the Skip Ad button shows up, if it shows up at all!!

I've paid since it was called youtube red, so the only commercial I see are the plugs people do in their videos and I usually fast forward through that.

I hate commercials in general. A couple years ago I got stuck in a hotel room and I gave cable television a try... fucking car commercials, drugs for health issues, and bullshit I don't give a shit about to the point of not remembering like money for your house type stuff. I suppose that's what our boomers worry about... lucky them.

The adverts usually come on at a crucial time for me at live sporting events, and sometimes the sound volume goes up unbelievably loud lol.

You can imagine the adverts at times are not very popular with me, but they need to make money, and I subscribe to plenty of other TV channels.

Perhaps you are being target with health adverts, I usually go on YouTube as a guest so I receive more general adverts, also you could pay to remove the adverts.

Commercials on youtube are different depending on your server's location but yes i hate the commercials, yet i understand that they have to earn cash, so what can be better than commercial breaks 🤷🏻‍♂️

But yes, I kept getting the same 3 ads over and over for like 2-3 months straight. I actually Al had to go and report the ad to make it stop. It just wouldn’t. I think I did it for 2 ads actually. The brain rot is real.

What made you lose your enthusiasm for playing?

Ya know, playing the drums isn't something that just anyone can do. You have a talent for playing them and it's a big shame to waste your talent.

When I used to go to concerts I always had my eyes on the drummer because I was fascinated at such a young age.

You don't want to be an old man one day and say "I should have played my drums and got in a cool 😎 band - but now it's too late for this old man.

I think we're exempt from commercials with "Youtube Premium". But with Rumble, ads are always breaking into videos completely unexpectedly. My least liked ads are pharmaceutical or medical in nature.

Get an add-blocker. They even sell devices that can block adds on smart-tv's if that's how you're consuming your media.

By the way mobile Firefox app also has ublock. The only adblocker that works on youtube. Unlike newpipe you can still comment.

@fonduegirl login where? Neither newpipe nor ublock don't need any login. Newpipe is just good for downloading at various bitrates. It is of course banned on Play Store.

The official firefox app has "extensions", you can add ublock. I also use ublock to block ai bot answers on this site, block them as if they are ad page elements. Additionally, i use tampermonkey extension on mobile firefox and get ai to write countless custom scripts, you can for example block all anons on here (i don't, but some others want to).

@fonduegirl thanks, don't think it is complicated though. I tried tampermonkey years before and was really confused and it failed, but a year ago started using ai to write them. Ai makes it extremely easy. Just click F12, go to the network tab (this can work on mobile firefox too with DevTools extension, but annoying) perform an action online such as blocking someone and it will be recorded in the console, right click and copy the action as FETCH, paste into an ai chatbot and ask it to make a floating button on the homepage that blocks a list of users. Just as a tutorial. I use tampermonkey for everything, a custom app to control bulk ip cameras settings without logging in manually, from a phone when the manufacturer made no app for the phone, i use it for local LAN arduino projects such as wifi controlled diy egg incubator, setting humidity and temperature and turn frequency over wifi. Single script, no additional apps besides browser. Although half these things i could probably do with an HTML file but modern phones restrict browsers from accessing local html the easy single-click way.
