I have all the streaming apps, Netflix, Amazon, everything. No matter how much I pay they always find a way to slip ads in somewhere, it's like catnip to them. I hate it! Especially when they don't have any advertisers and just run ads of other movies and shows on their service.

Advertisements are like telemarketers & I can’t stand them both however if I’m watching or streaming something I hit the skip button as much as I can.

I had Netflix till recently... pretty much had an internet plan bundled with cable, streaming, and other stuff

but then the bill went up and did so without notice, they said I had to pay more for Netflix to show no ads at all, so... yeah, if I had paid more and they still do the sneaky, I would be quite upset about that

but I cancelled that plan immediately

Yup, but it was inevitable. Every divergence in home entertainment has come with empty promises of “no commercials”. Unless you can match the billions those companies pay for advertising time, you’re never going to get away from commercials. Money talks. Welcome to capitalism!

no. i pirate my shows. and add block is very good at blocking whatever adds my come up on the illegal sites. also the illegal sites don't show me SD quality in stead of the UHD i paid for. if they say it's full hd it's full hd.

like i'm totally willing and ready to pay for series and movies. but if the illegal sites actually provide better service than the pay ones, then the pay ones have no right to exist.

Most of my streaming services I've paid for to be ad free but I few like prime for one example recently brought ads in and now I forgot to upgrade.

That said, I'm tired of seeing ads for body deodorant and people having to explain how bad they smell everywhere lol. It throws me off when I'm eating a snack while watching.

I do. It gets pretty annoying. Why should I have to see ads when I'm already paying for access to the content.

Apparently Calif. just passed a law that mandates companies explain to users that when they buy digital content, the user doesn't actually own the content; they only own licenses to access. I think it's important to explain that kind of thing, so I'm happy about the law.

Well I watch football on my cell phone when they show it on ESPN because I don’t have ESPN anymore because I now downgraded my cable TV to local TV channels only and I don’t like commercials but tv shows commercial as well except I like the Super Bowl commercials

I don't mind the ads on streaming services.
They're of a short enough duration that I tolerate them, unlike the three to eight or longer minutes of ads on other platforms.

I hate advertisements in general. On desktop OSs we have great adblockers, but on phones/tablets you are at the mercy of the video platforms. It's highly irritating. :-/

Yep, they are annoying especially when your right at the good part of a movie and an ad pops up. I don't mind ads too much on free streaming services, it's the paid streaming services with ads that annoy me.

I wouldn't say hate, hate is a strong word for me. But they are annoying, especially since I pay for Netflix and Hulu not to have ads. But if I am using a free streaming app, then I am ok with ads.

Doesn’t bother me at all. We had commercials when I was a kid. We would get up and go use the washroom, grab a snack or something during that time. So now it doesn’t matter if “ads” come on. It’s the same thing to me.
