What kind of pet do you have and why did you choose them?

My family in UK has got a cat. An 8 kilo monster. We did not chose him. He chose us. He was a skinny stray that we later found out had been abandoned by his previous owner. We fed him in the car park and it took several weeks to coax him into our top floor flat. We had him chipped and got him his jabs

We have a pet rabbit. We like rabbits because they don't have to go outside like dogs do, they can just use a litter box. But my husband is really allergic to cats, also we just generally think cats are kind of gross and we don't like that they can just jump anywhere and be all over our house. Our rabbit is like the best of both worlds for a cat and dog.
