Search Results: more than friends e cards

So here's some INFO I've noticed:
- He's almost always staring me
- He talks me pretty much compared to other girls in my class
- He's friends has said "he likes you" more than twice
- I gave him Valentine's day card. He didn't made any card to any one but a month later 3/13/2015 he went to holiday and travelled to Tenerife. He bought me some chocolate and a bracelet (I love that).
- He's hands were sweating when we danced (we have right now dancing in P.E. With couple ofc. My hands were sweating too but... you got the idea.
- He's running his hands through his hair when I'm around (like he would be a little nervous)
- When I was ill (flu) a week, my friends told me that he had been a little silent and odd (I don't know what they meant)
The thing is I've known him for a half year or 8 months. When I told him about my feelings around Christmas in my class' Whatsapp chatroom, he said he liked me just as a friend. But the signals makes me think otherwise. COULD YOU PLEASE HELP? I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO ANYMORE X'( So please, any oppinions, comments or ideas?

We have been best friends since 2011 and over the last 4 years he has always been there to support me.

In terms of health, he carried me to A&E when I had palpitations and it hurt to walk and plus I was shivering even though it was warm outside so he would hug me to keep me warm. He waited with me and came into the room with me whilst I was examined. I was told that I had a viral chest infection and they wanted to keep me in and do an xray to make sure I didn't have pneamonia - he stayed with me through the night even though I said "if you want to go you can go" but he wanted to stay.
Another time was when I collapsed on walk to college, got rushed to hospital, he was there about 10 minutes after I woke up and after being discharged he would call me every 6 hours to make sure I'm okay.

When a friend thought I had intentions of killing myself (when in reality, I was asleep and therefore wasn't responding to her texts), she told my best friend and he kept calling me about 30 times and showed up at mine ringing the door bell and knocking rapidly which woke me up - so much for having a nap!

He would hold my hand when I am scared and squeeze it to let me know he's there and that I am safe with him. He would hug me tight when I am upset/fed up and need to cry and tell me everything is okay.
He even asks me to sit on his lap, sometimes this can be embarrassing as he won't sit down unless I sit on his lap. (went on train and sat on a 3-seater, girl sat at other end of me and there was enough space beside me for him to sit and he said "I'll only sit down if you sit on my lap" and the girl was giving us awkward looks).
If we go shopping, he would give me his bank card and tell me to 'go wild' or 'buy anything I want'...

He has admitted that he thinks I am pretty but says he has no romantic feelings or interest in me... I'm not sure what that's about but can someone just shine a light on why he does all of the above - has deeper feelings for me or just cares about me? Both maybe?
