I discovered I have a receding hairline. I wanted to get an idea of what women find attractive, since it's an unavoidable change.

Do you prefer letting it naturally follow the receding pattern, completely buzzing it short or shaving it (say Stanley Tucci, or Jason Statham), or actively taking measures to counteract recession (transplant).

Also, in the comments, how much does this matter to you? And I also have a beard (think Amos from The Expanse). With a bald head, do you prefer clean shaven, stubble, or decent beard (I have no plans for a long beard).

This won't affect my plans too much, but it helps with decisions between two styles I like. My plan is to basically style it accordingly while I can, and then just shave bald when I can't.

For any guys who have a receding hairline, I recommend shaving bald at least once. Then you know what you'll look like, and it makes it easier to choose balding vs shaved, or if you would want to consider corrective precedures. I had a good experience doing it myself.

I have strong preference for girls with chin length, neck length and even ear length of hair. Long hair below shoulder on girls is less attractive and annoying. The longer the worse. I strongly dislike when girls wear their long hair in a ponytail.

My Opinion:
I think 95+% of young women under 39 suits long hair much better than short. To me femininity is attractive, but as long she's not butch short hair isn't a deal breaker. There's not many young women suiting short hair. Most men suits short hair better, but there's way more young men who suits long hair than women suiting short. I guess 30 % of men suits long hair or both, while 70 % suits short better.

My definition on long hair is when the hair goes past the ears on a man and is shoulder length or longer on a woman.
