I currently have FHD 15.6" IPS 60HZ 20ms SDR laptop monitor for my Acer Nitro 5 AN515-54 and FHD 6.6" Super AMOLED 120HZ 8ms SDR phone display for my Samsung Galaxy A34 5G. I'm looking to get an external desktop monitor for my gaming laptop, but I don't know if I should settle for IPS or OLED. I know that going from IPS to IPS isn't significant, but laptop monitors are vastly inferior to phone, tablet, desktop, and television displays. Ok well, television displays are only superior in fidelity but performance is garbage to compensate for them being cheap lol.

Since OLED has superior color accuracy, contrast, saturation, etc., I don't give a damn if it's HDR or not. I want the monitor to be FHD 240HZ Curved 1ms GSync/FreeSync 24"; I can settle for 180HZ and 5ms though. Since my HDMI port doesn't support beyond 144HZ for QHD nor above 60HZ for 4K, I'll pass on those when I can upscale with DSR anyways. Sadly, my laptop doesn't have DisplayPort for the dGPU (only for iGPU) and I'm not sure if I can even use my USB-C 3.1 port for external monitors. I probably can but the refresh rates will probably be worse than HDMI, which I don't know for sure but I suspect it's 2.0.

First, MOST public employees are entirely ignorant of the law. It's basic freedom of the press & you have ZERO right to privacy in public spaces. Cops especially , given their ego, control & violence pathology, THINK they know the law.

The U. S. Supreme Court has recognized a "paramount public interest in a free flow of information to the people concerning public officials." Other federal courts have found that the 1st Amendment freedoms of the press & speech protect the right to film in public spaces with one stating "A citizen's right to film government officials, including law enforcement officers, in the discharge of their duties in a public space is a basic, vital, and well-established liberty safeguarded by the First Amendment."

My 2¢: EVERYONE should know their rights. Period. Most people's interaction with LEOs is traffic stops. PLEASE print this guide for what to do if you are pulled over. It's essential.

The song is simple and tinny, but that hasn’t stopped it from being embraced by former President Donald Trump and his allies in their campaign to rewrite the history of the deadly Capitol riot.

The tune, “Justice for All,” is the Star-Spangled Banner, and it was sung by a group of defendants jailed over their alleged roles in the January 2021 insurrection. Recorded over a prison phone line, the national anthem sounds more like a dirge than celebration and is overlaid with Trump reciting the Pledge of Allegiance.

Despite its low fidelity, “Justice for All” has garnered a lot of fans. Trump, a Republican, played it at a recent rally in Waco, Texas, as images of Capitol rioters flashed behind him on a big screen, and the $1.29 song last month briefly vaulted to No. 1 on iTunes, supplanting such recording artists as Miley Cyrus and Taylor Swift.

Experts on extremism and propaganda say the song is another example of how Trump and his most ardent allies are trying to gloss over an avalanche of evidence proving the Capitol riot was anything but an act of patriotic resistance.

And it shows how such revisionists have dug deep into authoritarian playbooks that rely heavily on the use of national identity to sway public opinion. In this case, Trump and his allies are ironically relying on America's most patriotic song in their efforts to whitewash an insurrection that contributed to five deaths and left more than 120 police offices injured, experts said.

“We should not be surprised that this propaganda is effective, but it is shocking to see this in this country," said Federico Finchelstein, chair of the history department at the New School for Social Research in New York, an expert in authoritarian disinformation. "What they are demanding is that reality be put aside for the loyalty of the leader. And that leader in this case is Donald Trump.”
