I've noticed that I have had an increase in ocd after COVID happened. Things I had never considered have now entered my mind, and it's really driving me crazy. I realize we are essentially living in filth as human beings. I never realized how we essentially spit when we talk, even when we're just talking normally. I never knew that until they started talking about the spread of COVID. Now I picture basically spitting food particles at each other every time we talk. I was also made aware of how much a toilet sprays into the air when we flush. I don't know how others don't find that absolutely disgusting. Even if the lid is closed, the toilet will still spray through the cracks. Essentially, we are covered in feces and urine particles and then go walk around our houses. I also realized that people don't really wash their hands well and will shake people's hands and touch shared objects. I don't know how anyone can live with this other than simply being ignorant of it. Does anyone else feel the same way, or do I need to go see an OCD specialist?

If you said that you have never gotten angry at a partner, you've either never had a partner or it's a brand new experience for you. If you are in a relationship long enough to get past the honeymoon phase, you will experience conflicts and anger. It's inevitable. The test of a good relationship is not WHETHER you have conflicts but HOW you resolve them.

Sometimes, couples argue about silly things: "Why did you move the cheese?" or "Why do you always leave the lid up on the toilet?" That usually means there is a larger issue that is not being addressed and the anger is coming out "sideways" but sometimes, your partner may have just had a bad day at the office and the least little aggravation can set them off at home.

When arguments happen near bedtime, it isn't always possible to get it resolved before going to sleep. When I get in bed with my girlfriend and the harsh feelings are still on the surface, she will usually lie on her side, facing away from me. I move over so I am behind her, spooned with her, I put my arm around her, and I whisper in her ear, "Even when I'm angry, I still love you and I'm glad you're in my life. We'll get this resolved tomorrow morning, we'll still be in love with each other, and we'll have a better day. I love you. Goodnight."

The purpose of saying this is not to sweep the conflict under the rug. If it is a significant issue, it needs to be addressed. But I know that my girlfriend has a bit of insecurity and she panics when we have a conflict. She thinks that we are going to break up and she starts -internally - to freak out about being alone, moving out, etc. I want to put her fears to rest and make her feel better so she can go to sleep. Every time this happens, it helps her to feel more secure about us, and that makes me feel good.

You walk in the bathroom and see that your girlfriend left a huge pile of poop in the toilet. What would you do?


I would probably have to break up with her. I wouldn't be able to get past that. I know that girls poop but I wouldn't be able to handle actually seeing it. Serious. And I'm not the only guy who thinks like that.

Straight up, it's nearly impossible to come back from that. Deep down we all know the truth about females' capability to blow it clean out their asses but seeing it first hand is beyond damning. I once walked into an even worse scenario than you just described.

I was dating this girl who wasn’t filthy AT ALL. She was actually as cute as could be. The type you really couldn't imagine a forceful log coming out of. “How?” I asked myself. How could she dump, wipe, fling her used sponge into my toilet, and forget to flush? She even closed the lid so I know for a fact that at some point she had to look back and say, “Oh boy, look at that mess.” Yet, she still left it floating there for me to find.

So what should you do? Either throw bleach in your mind’s eye or move on. I chose the latter. I couldn’t forgive her for befouling me like that. Part of me actually believes it was her way of trying to get out of the relationship we had going for us. And if it was, then brav-f*cking-o, she went above and beyond the call of duty.
