Did I deserved to get scoulded for this?

I live with my mom. I used the bathroom earlier and left the toilet lid up. My mom got home and went into the bathroom. She started yelling and screaming and cussing. She had her phone in her back pocket. The lid was up and she sat on the toilet. Her phone ended up falling in the toilet and she pissed all over the place. She came out and screamed "don't leave the fucking toilet seat up again!" So she blamed it on me. So I cleaned and disinfected her phone. She apologized later for yelling at me. Was it my fault? Did I deserve to get yelled at?

Honestly, no, you didn’t deserve to be yelled at. Leaving the toilet seat up was an accident, and what happened with her phone was really just bad timing and embarrassment on her part. People sometimes lash out when they’re frustrated or caught off guard, but that doesn’t make it your fault.

The important thing is that she apologized and you handled it maturely by cleaning everything up. It was just an accident, not something you did intentionally, so you shouldn’t feel guilty about it.

No you didn't deserve that and honestly with the lid down the phone wouldve probably still fell. I am talking from experience.
