I made friends with a guy who has a child with his ex girlfriend. They dated for 5 years and ended with a bad break up. He tells me the cause of the break up and goes on and on about how women are evil.

No, women just look out for their own self-interest. They do not care how much you invest into a relationship; if she feels a certain way, she will leave just because of her feelings. He is just probably new to dating and does not understand all women are like that yet. But no women are just women they cannot help being that way.

Some are and use their children to hurt their ex, even though they are also hurting their children in the process too. Only some are like that though.
