I am Trying to figure out if the last relationship i was in was a rebound or not. some say like within a month or so is when its a rebound.
Whats the typical length of time?

9 months on your own would make me feel comfortable.
Depends on the person. It’s considered a rebound if you’re not over your ex and you’re just moving on in the hopes to forget about them. Some people only take a month to get over their ex, and other people can take years. So whether it’s a rebound or not isn’t dictated by how long it’s been since you broke up, it’s dictated by whether you’re over your ex or not.
how can you tell if they truly are over their ex other than them telling you? (which sometimes still doesn't mean they truly are over them)
Well for starters, they’re not depressed. If you’re not over your ex, you’re going to be depressed. Another sign that they’re not over their ex, is they’re hypersexual. Like constantly trying to get in your pants. Most people who are trying to get over their ex will have a lot of sex in the hopes that it speeds up the “moving on” process. And another sign that they haven’t moved on, is that they compare you to their ex or they talk about their ex constantly. They reminisce about their last relationship.
ok the sex part was true. she gave it up to me pretty easily. the other two were not. she very rarely brought up her ex. and to my knowledge she wasn't depressed. or at least she didn't show it around me or others.
she supposedly broke up with this guy in the summer time of 2022. then we hooked up in October
If she was the one who broke up with her ex, then I doubt you were a rebound. Rebounds typically only happen when someone has been broken up with, and they’re trying to get over their ex.
ah thats a good point. she said she broke up with him because he was too busy a lot if i recall
