Why is first love always special like even after dating other girl and breaking up with her I don't know why but I am missing my first love so much?

Now I have become a chain smoker and regular drinker because I am missing her a lot... I know some of you might say come on talk to her... But I don't know it will be easy like I seen her... She is totally happy ig after leaving me... It's been 2 years we broked... I don't miss my recent ex but the first girl i fell in love still now... What to do I am messing up my health also?

Some women sure get stuck in our brains more than others. It possibly is because she was your first love, or maybe you spent the longest amount of time together? Maybe she was exactly your type and maybe it's because you still see her around and that opens old wounds? Whatever the reasons, it's important to reflect and figure out why that relationship didn't work. There's reasons you aren't together anymore and probably shouldn't be in a relationship together. Part of being able to move on is understanding that she wasn't right for you in some way. That's how I got closure from thinking about my first love. You gotta quit drinking and smoking and take care of yourself. There's billions of women out there. Don't waste any more time being hung up on her, and stuck in this cycle of self-destruction.

I agree with @Clear_Skies10 you have to think about why it didn't work out with her in the first place. Perhaps the reason you're not missing your ex is because you were still hung up on the first. So it's better to try to work on yourself and let her go before getting into the next relationship. The past is gone already, but you do have a future ahead and shouldn't spoil it over a memory. Keep those memories resting in a special place, don't let them run your life.

Everyone is different, some people feel the opposite, they actually can’t stand thinking of them. I guess it might also be because it depends why you broke up, usually the person that was wronged moves on and never wants to look back.
