Is kik app known for sexual hookups and stuff?

On the advice of a guy friend I got the kik app to talk to people. I posted my username on social media to really get a lot at once. So far every single chat, gotten close to 300, is looking for sex only. Not in the flirty "lets Netflix and chill way" it's like "heres a dick pic and when can we meet?" Is this app a known place for that kind of stuff?

The cold hard truth is... ANY public messaging medium can and will be used for sexual escapades in some capacity.

Kik is the modern version of AOL chat; fully public chat medium that the entire world can use to message one another privately.

I use Kik, but not for sexual escapades. :-P

Get to know a few half decent guys, either here or elsewhere, and when you think you can trust them, go for KIK. I have been on there for a couple of years now.

I used to be under the impression that it was, because every creep and perv would ask if I was on kik. Now I know it is just a messenger app. You can use it for what you want though. To sext and hookup , or to just keep in touch with friends.

Yeah well there are a lot of bots pretending to be girls trading nudes etc, but there is of course a large community on there, a lot of them there for things such as sexting and hookups. It is almost infamous for trading nudes etc. There are of course many people that use it for just communication.
