If a guy opens up to you, does that mean he likes you?

If a guy talks about heartbreak, and how he's been hurt in the past, and just is vulnerable in general, does that mean he likes you/trusts you?

Yea I think he likes you. but the question is why does he like you and how does he like you. I mean I don't answer questions in here unless I like them unless I like the kinda person that writes the question. but I've liked people for many reasons... for everything from I felt bad for them, to they reminded me of me, to the kinda of person they were inspired me and I wanted to be more like them. I open up only to people I like. I ain't gonna open up to jim Bob that ain't never took anything serious in their life but I ain't gonna open up to pretty Polly because I want to marry her... I open up to people because I want to know them I want them to be in my life but I have had people in my life to be just friends to love to use to worship to blame yea just about every reason there is... like is a very generalized word and mean little or mean the whole world... people have many intentions that's what makes us who we are. everything depends on the choices we make and we make those choices because of the way we think. so you have to understand how this guy thinks

it's possible, but if he is opening up to you he may just feel comfortable with you. being there for him may be a good foundation to build a relationship on, but it might not go past good friends. sometimes being a true friend is more rewarding than a sexual relationship, but who knows what the future may hold

Not necessarily. It could just mean that he trusts you and feels comfortable around you. I wouldn't read in to it too much.

Usually. But it also means that he's probably got low self-esteem and is shy about initiating things. I don't do that with girls I like in the beginning because I like to project an image as a strong guy.

Or he is playing on your sympathy, if he owns up to what he did wrong maybe he just wants you to know but if he doesn't you are being played. (in general specific things could change this opinion)
