How do you know you like someone?

What are some ways you know someone likes you, how do you act when you like someone what are the signs you give consciously or unconsciously

All other opinions seems to be from a bit secure people. Let me give you a brief glance of what its like for an insecure guy.

Its short of impossible to convince us that someone likes us. Even if the person herself tells, we would be looking for a hidden camera or people watching to make sure if it isn't a prank or dare or something. When I was younger and naive, I sometimes belived it. Turned out girls only needed me to help out with their courses. They were also young and didn't know what they were doing. So, overall, don't really trust someone if they say that they like me, as in like me like me.

Now coming to what we do if we like someone. I try very hard to hide it. More often than not, girls tend to get offended if they find out that an ugly person likes them. Many just dont care and ignore. So its of no use to try and show it. I try to keep my contact with them minimal. I try not to walk past them, but in case I do, I try to avoid gaze and look down. I used to stalk on the social media profiles. But now that almost everywhere its impossible to stalk without an account, I just do not do that anymore. Using fake account is way too obvious and they could immedietly figure out. Among other friends, if they happen to talk about that girl, I ignore or just change topic. And most importantly, if I HAVE to talk to them for some reason, I try to keep the covo as short as possible. I do not wanna give away any unintentional signs.

Do they want to spend time around you? Same for you Do you want to be around them? Talking at least looking at you in close proximity. That's what I go by. If you're good you can see the sparkle in their eye. People anymore think there is kind some equation and it will tell you everything about love life relationships.
What does this or that mean. The answer I have for if someone likes you is about the only one I believe in

Glancing at them
Making eye contact then looking down or somewhere else right afterwards because I'm shy
When I see them, I get a little bit stressed
Wanting to talk to/text them but never knowing what to say so I end up not doing it
Thinking about them.. too much maybe
Getting excited knowing that I might see them at college
If I know for sure I'll see them, I'll put more effort in my outfit and makeup than I already do
Making up conversations in my mind talking to them lmao
etc..

i get butterflies and my heart races when i'm with them or whenever someone even talks about them. i'll smile a lot and blush if he compliments me. i only realize it when i think about them more than i think about anyone else and when i put more effort into my outfit
