When a guy says ha ha a lot?

When a guy and girl are chatting on aim or something or text, and he says "haha" a lot of the time in his sentences, does that mean something? Lol, it's kind of funny to me.

It's a different way of saying, "lol". He's probably not REALLY laughing, but it's just something to use to keep the tone light. A lot of times, text messages can easily be misconstrued. I use "haha" in my texts to let the other person know I'm just playing around. Especially if I think there's a possibility the text might be taken the wrong way.

Probably a little nervous and may not know what to say. Ha ha lol takes a little of his own attention off of it.
