Guys how often do you get called handsome?

I always call my boyfriend handsome but he always feels shy and kinda uncomfortable. How do I make him feel more comfortable

I never have been called handsome by women outside of the ones in my family. My now girlfriend has only called me that one time.

Every woman has either called me cute and sweet. I honestly fucking hate it. Would prefer being called handsome that any day.

But we almost never get any compliments. Especially from the opposite sex. And if we do, it's often from family members.
