Well, country of origin generally isn't a make or break factor on its own; if I have reason to believe that her intentions and goals are genuine, and she's not trying to rush into an exploitive marriage, I'd give her a chance. Unfortunately some of the Eastern Bloc countries developed that reputation after the end of the Cold War, but that stereotype seems to have waned for one reason or another. There's been a huge influx in immigrants from Ukraine and Poland especially to my part of the US (DFW area, Texas) within the last 5-10 years.

You could not want to be with somebody with a different culture.
You could not want to be with somebody of a different ethnicity.

Ultimately, tastes are tastes and who you want to have by your side if a decision that you and you alone can and should make. Don't let any brainlet going straight for "muh racism" determine if you're right or wrong.
