We were in the sample class never had a chance to talk to him.. there is no other way for me to reach him beside messaging him in the IG

It's fine. Just understand you cannot forge an actual relationship by texting or messaging someone. You have to actually DATE. In real life, face to face.

Yes that’s true I want an actual face to face conversation but because of covid we are staying into our homes. During first year of university because I was started at him so much he kinda knows my face.. I want to first start a conversation with him in IG because I don’t have other options at the moment.. I can start by asking school related stuff and get his number maybe meet in person. But I worry I might look like a stalker or he might think it’s weird.. I’m a shy person too I overthink a lot ! Yes. Start with 'hi', 'remember me from class?' Go from there.
Social skills are learned, so consider it as just that - a learning experience. You have absolutely nothing to lose. If he's not responsive, you move on. Nothing ventured, nothing gained.

And quit using 'shy' as an excuse. It's time to be an adult.

Time to be an adult hit me 🥺😀 it’s true considering I just turned 30 years old 🤦🏼‍♀️ I have always been hiding with the excuse I’m shy! Someone might think she is 30 and has lots of experiences but nope 😅 it’s not true not even close to 10% experience lol.
