I’m my profile I selected looking for a “relationship” but know that it takes time to build. So in my bio I wrote,
“Looking for a friendship that with the right person, could lead to something more.” Do you think this is a good thing to put or guys will think I want friends with benefits and won’t be interested?

Oh yeah that's 100% friends with benefits message to me. Like, I think men in general appreciate the straightforward and honest approach when it comes to intentions and dating, so be loud and proud that you want a relationship!

If the guy wasn't looking for a relationship to start with, he's not going to want one after talking and fucking around six months down the line, but if he knows what you want he can weigh that against what he wants and y'all can move forward together or go separate ways without wasting everybody's time and energy!

So then do you think I should message one of my matches after changing my profile to clarify? We hit it off and he asked me out but he hasn’t messaged me back since then. Was looking forward to our date but now I’m thinking he got the wrong idea about what I wanted and isn’t messaging me.

Sent him a text this morning and nothing, so I’m kinda afraid to message him again if he is trying to ghost. Which most people do these days

I would say within a day or two, give em a chance to hit you up or unmatch but then give em the ol, hey wanna go somewhere and have dinner and get to know each other? And Yeah a lot of people ghost instead of breaking things off cleanly, it's a real shame but hey anonymity makes it easy to be cowards!

It sounds like friends with benefits.
Say that you are looking for a relationship, but of course not right off the bat people are going to ask to be exclusive, so when you match with people, let them know you’d like to get to know eachother and eventually start a relationship (which is basically what going on dates is)
