Heh… I met my boyfriend in probably the least romantic place — Tinder.
Tinder is not really used as a dating site for people my age. It’s all for hookups.
Anyway, I was on a few other dating apps but I rarely got any matches on those because not many people in my area use them/not as popular. So, I was like, well, let’s try Tinder… I swear, I swiped right on maybe 50 out of over 1,000 people. I was very picky because I didn’t want to be used as a hookup and I made it clear.
So, I found my his profile, I mean, he looked like someone who didn’t want to even be on there but just tried it. His bio read, “I'm a good driver, not a safe one. I dont drink or smoke. Need someone to give me fashion
advice, because i dress like someone's dad.”
And, it was super into the fact that he wasn’t someone who drank or smoked. I didn’t want someone who went to parties or hooked up. So, I swiped right and prayed that he wasn’t one of those. I also thought he was super cute even though he had awful pictures of himself lol. But my God, he was so handsome when I saw him on our first date… And he actually did dress like someone’s dad, kinda.
So, although Tinder is probably the worst place to find an actual genuine relationship, I got something amazing out of it. And I mean, he is a true blessing in my life. He is by far the best thing that’s come into my life.

It was ww2. She was a nurse and I was getting my shots. I saw her and she looked so beautiful, she was British. I was an officer so I ordered a private to give me his file so I could go through the line again and get a shot from her. We talked, but as we talked i had an adverse reaction to the shot since I'd already been given the shot. I tried to say " I like you" but what came out was " I lick you", as I grew more woozy. Then she looked at my file and asked if I'd already had this shot? And I said feeling really woozy "will you go out with me". And she said "no". And I said "ok". And then passed out. I think she took pity on me. Because when I came to she agreed to date me after that.
All was good till I got shipped over to England to fight in the battle of Britain. My fighter plane got shot down. And she was erroneously informed that I had died. My best friend consoled her and they fell in love. Luckily he was killed in a bombing raid on Japan. Or she may have never came back to me.

I was working for her in her yard doing landscaping. She brought out a glass of ice water and we were talking and look off in the distance to the edge of the grass and there are two tiny tiny little kittens just came from nowhere. They were so small they could barely navigate through the blades of grass. One was gray with black stripes the other was white with black patches. It was an enchanting moment you could say. We ended up naming the white and black one patches and we named the other one Reba and that's how we got together. I'm just kidding I made all that up actually she was a stripper and I just had the most dollar bills that night.
