Her career doesn't matter much. As long as it isn't something that I morally disagree with and she won't be traveling/spending days away from home then I don't care. She can work at Taco Bell and it would be just as good to me. Having compatible morals, compatible long term life goals, having some things in common we enjoy doing, and her having an acceptable past matters much more to me than her job.

We all have plans for our life and in the end I guess we make 20% of those and I guess 80% are something that we didn't expect, that is how life goes. You shouldn't feel any kind of pressure because of it. You should always work on yourself but also never feel less worthy because some things didn't work out or it takes longer for them to be achieved.
