What's the difference between calling someone "b" and "babe"?

Me and this guy want a relationship with each other and we've been getting to know each other a bit better first. He used to call me "b" but now he calls me "babe". What's the difference?

A huge difference. One is a flirty sign of affection and the other is super degrading. If any guy was calling me a 'b' he'd have 0 chance of ever getting together with me. I have 0 intention of ever being with a guy whose willing to degrade me like that!

B means bee
Bb means baby
Bae means babe
If he used to call u b then changed it babe, his feeling for u prolly increase. Good thing tho
