you don't even need a filter for that. it's just the exposure setting in the camera. it has been like that for ages, not just since the advent of social media.

There's so much you can do with mobile cameras these days. You're just exploiting the way light and contrast works. It's not digital fakery

some smartphones have filters and fixers by default... and that's before you even edit it for Instagram, lol

I don't go on those sites but the majority do but when it comes to the meeting up phase I noticed some that give the phrase "OH by the way I was meaning to tell you..."
