Girls, Why women like dark haired men?

Why do women like dark haired men so much? What it comes from? Do you just prefer someone mature and dark hair are associated with a mature, well-ordered and strong man with a bit of a secret? Or do women just prefer similar looks to themselves? Sorry it was a childish question but I'm better now

I do prefer dark haired men, but I think that's just because they look like the majority of people I have around, and I'm dark haired myself, so I find it automatically "familiar" (I'm Mediterranean).
I think dark features on white/latino skin look bold visually because there is a lot of contrast between the colors. Afterall, women dye their hair black too, and especially, make their eyebrows and eyelashes darker all the time, yet they aren't trying to look like mature, well-ordered strong men (lol). I think it's more a thing of looking visually more bold.
Anoher reason could be just what the media portrayed as hot over and over during decades, that is basically what a Mediterranean man looks like when you imagine it as a stereotype. It might be just a cultural influence.
But if you are light haired, don't worry, plenty of light haired men who date girls, or are married etc. I never seen anyone rejecting a guy just because he is not dark haired, it can't be a dealbreaker alone, so don't start thinking your lack of success is caused by that because that is for sure not the point.
By the way, just to prove my point, even if I'm dark haired and prefer people of my "type" (and I'm not really out of options, I get approached very often), I'm dating someone completely opposite, pale and with very light hair and absolutely no bold look on his face. Because what matters is much else, and this is not even a "flaw" itself, just another version of a person but it's not like a deformation or something.
Other than that, some girls actually specifically prefer blonde guys, gingers, northern looking men. So that's not a big deal all in all, you will find someone regardless of your hair color.
