What are good places to meet someone if you don't have friends?

I do have few close friends but they're always busy, it's impossible to make plans with them.
I usually go to malls, movies and other activities, alone.
I don't really mind it, it's just hard to go to places like pubs, restaurants all by yourself.

I know meeting someone special happens for most people randomly or through friends, at work or using dating apps but I cannot stand dating apps and my friends are all taken and their friends as well :D :( and my job is full of old people and their kids... also taken.

Please help :D

Joining a club might be a good idea. Or going to the gym. Volunteer work.

What are hobbies/ activities/shows you are into?

I usually spend my free time at home :( I like baking, reading stories, gaming (not as much as I used to though), watching movies, cars (I like to drive, I just get so happy when I have to drive somewhere but unfortunately my friends are never up for a journey ride.
Also shopping, pets take up some of my time (we've got horses, cats).

Pretty much nonexistent. I've had few suitors but I had no chemistry with either of them, no spark whatsoever.
