Am I right to feel sad?

I'm friendzoned already without even having the first date. He is so sure and confident we'll stay "friends" with out any chance to get to know each other more.

He told me he got out of a bad relationship and said he was dating again a month ago after the breakup. I called him out on it since he told me he was only looking for friends. I felt crushed at that moment. But since I understood his wording better but still he friend zones me. Saying "if I date will you get mad? Friends are supposed to support each other."

He clearly wants to date but keeps putting me aside when we seem compatible... all because I'm not perfect barbie looking. Telling me I have pretty eyes, gets weirdly excited for a cuddle movie night yet keeps friend zoning me.

Hmmm maybe he just sees you as friends with benefits type thing. Guys will sometimes give compliments they might not necessarily mean if they know it can help them fuck

He's dating others cause he doesn't see you as the one he wants to be with, but if you guys are cuddling and he's complimenting you but still isn't into you for a relationship it could be looks that's the problem. Maybe you got a nice body, I don't know. either way it's normal to be sad when you can't get with the person you want but you can't force him to want to be with you so

I have had an experience very close to this. When we are together he can be very cuddly and touchy and even stares into my eyes and smiles like I have never seen him smile before. When we hug, he will hold me tight around the waist bringing me closer in to him. Sometimes he will kiss me and tell me how much he cares about me. The last time we hung out it meant so much to me and made me feel like there was something there between us. However, I have come to realize that he most likely just wants something sexual. When I showed a little interest he brushed it off and he has not texted me back saying that he would like to hang out again.

Personally, I would put a stop to this so you don't end up getting even more hurt. You deserve better than this.
