You probably have unrealistic expectations. Most men are extremely literal. If you don’t expect anything that they didn’t promise, you’ll probably be fine. Naturally there are liars who will promise more than they can provide. Context cues and body language interpretation will take you a long way with those assholes.

You may need to look at who you are dating, and maybe look elsewhere and try someone else, or a different type.
The real question would/should be why do I keep allowing this to happen?
Look for someone with different personality traits, that might help you.

You choose them, so if you are continuously having issues, then your selection process is flawed. You need to better understand what you want and don't want, then apply this selection criteria to guys you meet.

Because you invest too much too soon. Lower your expectations and your investment and you won't be disappointed so often. Find your own happiness instead of believing that you will only be happy with a partner.
