There is this guy friend (who I like, yes). He lives in another country. I know he is someone who has only ever been in casual relationships, does not want attachments and is bad at texting (in general prefers calls). I also know he is single right now, yet he is online for hours on Whatsapp.

I’m not familiar with how that app works, but it’s possible he just has it open and running in the background on his phone. If that’s not a thing you can do on there then the obvious thing is he’s talking to other people, possibly other women. Maybe he’s focused on his career but it doesn’t mean he can’t talk to women, that isn’t the same prioritization or commitment as a relationship.
