How do you know it was a fake profile? Just because she stopped responding it doesn’t mean it was a fake profile, she might have just changed her mind. Even if it was a fake profile it’s rarely a stalker, it’s a catfish most of the time. It’s nothing unusual. Lots of them on dating sites and apps. Often men who pretend to be women (even on here there are lots of those). Why people catfish is another question. Them being bored, wanting to escape their own lives and pretend to be someone else, mental illness, just doing it for fun maybe even with a friend, wanting to try out the app without having to out their real selves on there.
And probably various other reasons.
