How to get comfortable as a Introvert shy girl when getting married in a Joint Family?

Hello everyone, I am one of the so called introvert or i should say a person who finds it difficult to talk with new people.

So me and my boyfriend are dating from 7 years and we think it's time to get married, we love each other too much and i want to be with him, but he have a big joint family and now i am going to be a part of it.

I have met his family and they are nice, but i can't seem to start a talk with them, they asks something i answers and then it's awkward silence if my boyfriend is not around, his family seems nice enough to me, but i just don't want to be awkward around them as soon i am going to live with them.

Yes it can be awkward as an introvert but there a couple of ways.

Ask about their lives. Most people like talking about them selves. Then remember stuff about them what they had on etc were soon to do.

In terms of you answering their questions - don't play a dead bat and give answers that close off.

Me "Do you like movies". You "yes"

Me "what was the last one you have seen". You "Can't remember"

That could have gone way better. Your boyfriend is something you have in common with them.
