Hopefully I asked that right, but basically last week, I met my bestfriend friend that he knew since middle school. He was into me to the point that he wanted my number etc.. but I'm also hoping he understands how much we hang out like people will think we're together, everyone at work assumes that. He even thought that when we first met until he told him that we were just good friends like a platonic friendship. So I'm hoping if we did date he won't get jealous? Or not wanting us to hangout anymore.

That's an interesting yet realistic assumption, it's possible, it's also possible that if your friend has some form of emotions towards you, seeing his friend with you will bring that to the light as well, lots of thinking to do in your situation indeed 🤔

I never really thought about that honestly, he never showed any attraction that he might have towards me, compared to other girls. He knows what he likes in a woman and I'm not on that list, yes he thinks im cute but I'm just not his type. So after knowing that I felt safe around to get drunk or sleep at his place knowing he won't do anything

Yea but sometimes they don't realize it until the woman they deeply want is being taken away from them, rn he's chillin cause if you are the girl he likes fully without his own realization, y'all hang out a lot, spend a lot of time together but imagine when you start dating someone else, the time will decrease with him, it's just a known fact and that's when his emotions for you will start to surface, if he has any of course, clearly there's something he likes about you if he spends so much time with you, he might not even know it yet, he will realize it if he gets jealous when he sees you and his friend together.

I understand what you mean now, thank you. Well when I first met him, I had a boyfriend but it was complicated to the point our relationship was ending, he was always there for me, he didn't like my boyfriend at all due to how he treated me and never supported me.
But when it comes to guys, he's just always protective but I just thought maybe he was protecting me from guys just in case something happens

Sometimes I wonder but it's always hard to tell, so lastnight we were hanging out again and he tells me that he wants to see what his friend intentions are with me before I give him my number. So now I'm just confused because he was the one that really wanted me to meet his friend compared to all the other guys he know saying how he would be perfect and now he says this.
