How do I know if guys like me because I'm beautiful or average?

I've read many times that average girls get hit on the most and I get hit on *a lot*. I read real beautiful girls hardly get approached. For me it's kind of 50/50. I feel like people only approach me when I'm all by myself without friends and when I'm by myself hot guys will look at me but they never come up to me. I only ever get hit on by guys I'm not interested in
