Is it weird to date a 17 year old guy as a 22 year old woman?

I really enjoy his company and I've kind of had a late start in life dealing with family and personal issues. I'm aware that our age difference is pretty large but I feel like we have a similar approach to life and I can see myself definitely being involved with him in the long term. We are both very hopeful in regards to our future together.

Is it legal? If it is then no that isn't what I would call weird. There is a good age gap there but nothing major. I think the only issues you might have is if you were planning on going to college and he is about done and maybe starting a career. That is if he attended. I have no clue if you intend to go to college or not either. Point is depending on where each of you are in life might be a struggle. If you guys like each other and things work then go for it.

He plans on going to college as do I. The age of consent is 16 from where I live and 17 where he lives. I think that we are both willing to put in the effort to make this thing work out. He's very important to me. Thanks for your opinion.
