Balding at 20… is it over?

It makes me feel extremely insecure. At least i’m tall. I usually don’t get girls’ attention anyway, but being bald would be a death sentence (we all know a bald 20 yo dude would be ignored by the vast majority of girls, especially if he’s not even got a masculine or handsome face).

I work out for myself, i study and dedicate my time to my interests. I have few friends but luckily i’ve never had issues to talk to girls in a friendly way (i have girl friends and feel comfortable with them)

I started losing my hair at your age. Part of it was due to stress from my mom dying. Stress can be a factor. I just gave myself a short buzz cut until the top faded out and now I just shave it with hair clippers. I don't miss combing or washing my hair. When I was younger it bothered me but now I don't give a shit. The hair loss treatment shampoos and pills are expensive, bad for your health, and don't work in the long run. There is some new treatment called JAK inhibitors. It blocks your immune system from attacking hair follicles but the long term side effects are unknown. Personally I don't mess with my immune system because it's pretty good, and it's especially good against COVID.

When I started thinning everyone told me to embrace it and to let it get bald and then to shave it all off. I disagreed and set out to fix it. The only thing that worked in the end was daily affirmations acknowledging 'God created our hair through the subconscious mind and was now fully regrowing the hair on my crown' and after a week of saying them with no change, it started to grow back. Understand there is much power in your words...

It’s okay. Lots of girls like bald men. If you act confident and shave your head, lots of girls will think you are sexy.

For me, baldness is not something I’d care about.
