I believe communication works both ways, and as a result of that, if I’m into a guy then I will show it with my actions. This means not letting days on end pass without talking to him, so if I’m not reaching out, then I’m not interested for one reason or another.


It’s counterproductive to your potential future you want to work towards with them, and I personally feel like it shows some hidden (or not so hidden) trauma. For example, if you know on your end that you like me, why play the waiting game? Even the busiest person has to go home, sleep, eat, shit, etc., so there’s no good excuse not to reach out to someone you like within 24 hours other than your own reservations.


All this to say, dating with intention is important. If you like someone, show it, don’t risk missing out on opportunities because you want to hear from them first, want to feel chased, afraid of getting hurt, afraid of commitment deep down, any of those BS “reasons” in my opinion show exactly why you shouldn’t be dating, and healing instead.
