I was talking to a few friends and someone briefly mentioned how I have been single by whole life. I laughed and “groaned” as a joke but then my guy friend said “but she’s single by choice, that’s all I’m going to say”

I can’t seem to understand what he meant by that. Can someone help me understand

I think he was being sarcastic. Meaning a lot of women will date men, screw it up or get dumped or cheated on but they will say they’re single by choice when that really wasn’t the case. A lot of women seem to say that to make theirselves feel better about their relationship ship situation. You never hear men really say I’m single by choice. Men realize they’re single because they’re ugly, or fat, broke, etc.

Well, it could mean a lot of things, there can be a lot of reasons as to why a person chooses to remain single by choice.

However, the fact is she wants to remain single and it is her freewill, her decision to do so.

Single by choice means if you have options to choose from and still you don't choose any and stay single.

Boys mostly struggle to get any. Even if tgey wants to be in relationship with someone they don't find anyone available. But generally girks have options to choose so she can choose to be in relationship or stay single

Single by Choice means that even despite all the people who were able to go out with you or all the opportunities you had to have a guy, you still decided to stay single, it's downright you chose to be a single but not that you had no choice
