Is it challenging to date someone who's a vegetarian when you're not?

If you live together, it's a challenge to find things to cook that you'll both eat. If not, the only thing is if she's the type who might lecture you over it if you eat meat in front of her. I wasn't that type so it wasn't a big deal as long as you go eat somewhere with options for both of you.

Im scared to meat a "good" person that is a meat eater. How much can I tolerate or should tolerate? And would that person ever change or not? I guess you made a good impression on him and he would do a lot for you.

@Paul09 it is hard to find a decent accepting person. Many meat eaters are judgmental and think everyone should eat meat just because they do. I'm not really sure how to weed out the bad ones tbh I just got lucky

Look there are different types of vegetarians. Lactos are most restricted. As a vegetarian myself I have few restrictions in eating out but lactos would and eat fake cheese.

For most it is a fad and doesn't last long. These people will eat fake meat.

If anyone tries to enforce life styles on others it is a red flag. Look to exit stage left.

Yes, and No, depending upon how you guys react to it. It's a difference, but you work past it. You can eat meat, she won't. Single enough, until there's contention, but if there isn't any, then all is well.

Kind of, because it would limit the places we could go out to eat. No BBQ? No seafood?
Plus, I wouldn't want to be limited to a vegetarian diet when cooking at home.

Ideological differences might even make us incompatible.

I like being an omnivore and eating delicious meat.

Only if she does something stupid like trying to force it on you or others. My wife is a vegetarian. I am not. Our kids are not. At least not yet. It is their choice. We make a mix of foods every day and if they decide that they want only fruits and vegetables then that is their choice until then they will have the standard diet a human needs which is a mix of fruits, vegetables, meat, nuts, dairy, etc

No, it is not. It's not a big deal at all. Think of it this way. Even amongst meat eaters, not everyone likes the same thing. Some might prefer chicken, pork or beef. Having a plant based diet is just another choice.

Just have to be aware of how /where they prepare their meat and the smells it gives if that is a problem for their partner.
